HELLO / I'M MARIYA

A designer with
more than one
way of thinking.

I work across brand identity, packaging, digital, print, spatial design and creative direction. I enjoy the precise parts of design as much as the expressive ones.

THE LONGER VERSION

I didn't arrive here through one discipline.

I studied graphic and spatial design for advertising, then interior and exterior design at the National Academy of Art in Sofia. That meant learning to think about communication on a page, on an object, in a room and in the real world.

I developed early work in exhibitions, physical environments and 3D. Later I joined international creative projects through agencies and platforms such as Jovoto, contributing design concepts, visual communication and product ideas to briefs involving major consumer brands.

In 2019, I established Mariya Design. Small identity briefs became full visual systems, then long-term relationships spanning website work, packaging, brand maintenance, content and production. I still do the thinking and the making myself.

My interests haven't narrowed. I like restrained typographic systems and expressive color. I like premium packaging and technical product communication. I enjoy solving practical problems—and I enjoy making things beautiful.

HOW I WORK

Hands-on by choice.
Organized by practice.

01

Direct involvement

You work with the designer making the decisions, building the files and following the project through—not a chain of account layers.

02

Clear judgment

I don't need to show every experiment to prove that I explored them. I explain the thinking behind the recommended direction and its limitations.

03

Practical detail

Guidelines, consistent components, usable source files, production specifications and developer handoff all matter to me.

04

Asynchronous work

Written briefs, organized design files, documented feedback and recorded walkthroughs—all without calls or meetings.

TOOLS I USE

Whatever the brief
actually needs.

Design & production

Figma, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Wix Studio, Canva

3D & spatial

3ds Max, Blender, Maya; modeling, materials, rendering and technical spatial drawing

Workflow & exploration
